AED Rent expands rental inventory with d&b audiotechnik systems to strengthen dry hire portfolio

AED Rent today announced a significant expansion of its rental inventory with the addition of a comprehensive d&b audiotechnik loudspeaker package. This investment reinforces AED Rent’s commitment to supporting AV and event professionals who rely on d&b systems and are seeking a trusted dry hire partner.

By expanding its product portfolio with leading brands, AED Rent continues to broaden the options available to its national and international client base—enabling more tailored system choices for a wide range of productions. As a dedicated dry hire specialist, AED Rent provides solutions designed to support AV companies without competing on the production side.

“We had been considering extending our loudspeaker portfolio for some time,” says Piet Verstraete, Senior Account Manager Audio at AED Rent. “The key was finding the right brand. d&b stood out for its focus on quality and innovation—values that strongly align with AED Rent.”

d&b audiotechnik is widely recognized as a premium audio brand used on major events worldwide. Its strong international acceptance was a decisive factor, particularly for touring and cross-border productions that depend on consistent, rider-friendly systems.

“d&b systems are trusted across a wide range of productions, from broadcast and corporate events to concerts, tours and major sports events,” Verstraete adds. “This allows us to immediately support an extensive global user network.”

The new d&b package will include GSL, KSL and CCL systems, powered by D90 and D40 amplifiers. The cardioid behaviour of these systems—an increasingly important requirement in modern live sound—will offer clients greater control and performance across diverse event environments.

“d&b’s strong investment in immersive audio through Soundscape is another important factor,” Verstraete continues. “This technology represents a clear step forward compared to traditional stereo setups and will increasingly shape the future of live events.”

The investment marks the start of a long-term working working relationship between AED Rent and d&b audiotechnik.

“There is a growing need for a neutral, internationally represented dry hire partner,” says Verstraete. “The d&b systems will enable us to support large-scale international productions—especially where additional system availability is required.”

The announcement was shared during AED’s annual Customer Days, where it was met with strong enthusiasm from both national and international clients.

Initial deliveries are planned for early 2026, with equipment expected to arrive in January and be available for rental from March 2026.
