Furthermore, we actively promote the reduction of cardboard usage among our suppliers and encourage the reuse of wooden pallets. In cases where suppliers opt for inexpensive wooden pallets designed for single use, we reassemble them and utilize them to generate heat for our facilities during wintertime.

In terms of our policy towards employees, we were one of the first companies in Belgium to acquire electric cars. Furthermore, we have established an electric grid to facilitate the charging of electric bicycles, which we also provide financial support for. Encouraging a greener lifestyle, we incentivize our employees to reside closer to their workplace. To minimize travel and associated emissions during break times, we offer daily fresh soup for lunch in our cafeteria. Additionally, our facilities are strategically located near public transport facilities, promoting the use of environmentally friendly transportation options. By collectively embracing these small but impactful initiatives, we significantly contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions.

When it comes to our customers, AED has made significant investments in expanding its ecological rental fleet of audiovisual equipment. Initially, we established ourselves as pioneers in LED lighting products since 2007. Today we have broadened our focus to include the adoption of powerful yet energy-efficient laser technology in lighting and video projectors.

Our commitment to efficiency extends beyond the choice of equipment, as we have meticulously designed standardized units that are optimally sized for loading vans and trucks with maximum efficiency.

We engage with our customers even during nighttime: escaping daytime traffic jams reduces CO2 emissions. We also allow our customers to charge and discharge their trucks during the night by providing them with special access codes to our equipment night locks.
