AED Cases: 'The Flightcase Fabricator'

AED Cases wants to prepare itself to produce more flight cases in the future for its own rental fleet and to be able to answer to the external demand.

Of course during the design of the workshop the ergonomics on the work floor was taken into account to optimise the working conditions for our employees. In addition, much attention was paid to the ecological footprint of the production process. The residual wood from the production is hydraulically compressed into pellets with a high energy value. During the winter months, these are used for the fully automatic heating of the AED company buildings. 

On average, about 4,000 flight cases are produced annually at AED Cases in Willebroek. Since the production capacity can now be increased, the volume can be scaled up to 6,000 cases per year in the future. 

Besides the standard cases (which are sold at the AED Store, including all separate parts), our in-house team can also meet the demand for custom-made cases. In addition to the wood and metal work, the mouldings are also manufactured in-house to order. The entire production process is centralised in this way: from CAD design, sawing and milling, punching, gluing, assembly and cleaning.
