Glenn Roggeman passes the torch after 40 years leading AED group

Willebroek, June 19, 2025 – After an extraordinary journey of four decades, Glenn Roggeman, founder of AED group, is stepping down from his operational role. With visionary entrepreneurship, Roggeman built AED from the ground up into one of Europe’s leading companies in the audiovisual industry. As of today, the leadership is handed over to his experienced management team, with Steven Mansvelt – Managing Director of AED Rent – assuming daily operational responsibility.

Founded in 1985, AED group has grown under Roggeman’s leadership into a vertically integrated ecosystem offering rental, sales and financing services for professional audiovisual users. With operations across Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and the UAE, the company services a wide range of professional AV clients in live entertainment, broadcast, theatre, film, and corporate markets.

Glenn Roggeman’s entrepreneurial vision was not only focused on growth, but also on future-readiness. Over the years, he spearheaded a thorough transformation of the group, implementing advanced business processes, investing in ecological innovation, and introducing far-reaching standardisation throughout the company. These efforts have made AED group a worldwide pioneer in sustainable and efficient AV solutions.

“After 40 years, the time has come to pass the baton,” says Glenn Roggeman. “AED is stronger than ever, with a solid team, a strong strategy, and a sustainable foundation for the future. I have confidence in the management team to continue building on this legacy with the same ambition and passion. AED group remains committed to innovation, customer service and industry leadership, with continuity and long-term vision at its core.”

As he steps aside from his operational duties at AED group, Glenn Roggeman will continue to focus on existing and new ventures. He will continue to lead AED Studios – one of Europe’s most prominent media and film complexes – allowing him to fully focus on further developing the creative hub for film, tv and event productions in Lint.

All shareholders of AED group – Stefan Yee (PE Group), Tom Bousmans (ING Corporate Investments), and Jacques-Martin Philippson (Phifin) – extend their gratitude to Glenn Roggeman, acknowledging his vision, passion, and relentless drive over the past four decades. Under his leadership, AED has grown into a uniquely positioned and forward-looking player in the international AV industry. The shareholders look forward to building on this strong foundation together with the management team as the company enters its next chapter.
